What Is LASU Cut-Off Mark?
The cut-off mark is the minimum JAMB score needed to qualify for LASU’s post-UTME or screening. Some courses need higher scores than others.
For 2025/2026, LASU’s general cut-off mark is 195.
If you scored below 195, you cannot apply for most courses. You must also choose LASU as your first choice to qualify.
General Admission Requirements
Before you can be considered for admission, make sure you meet these:
- Score at least 195 in JAMB
- Choose LASU as your first choice
- Have five O’level credits, including English and Maths
- Be at least 16 years old

LASU Admission Tips
- Aim higher than the cut-off. The listed marks are minimums. Higher scores give you a better chance.
- Upload your O’level results on JAMB CAPS. Without that, you won’t be considered.
- Choose LASU as your first choice. Second choice candidates are not accepted.
- Monitor LASU’s official site for post-UTME updates.
- Apply early once the portal opens.
What If You Don’t Meet the Cut-Off?
If your score is below the required mark:
- Consider a course with a lower cut-off.
- Apply for change of course or institution through JAMB.
- Wait for supplementary lists. Some departments may accept lower scores later.
How LASU Calculates Admission
LASU uses a screening system. Your total score may include:
- JAMB score – 50%
- O’level grades – 50%
Some years, LASU does not conduct post-UTME exams. Instead, your screening score is based on JAMB and O’level.
O’level grading may follow:
- A1 – 10 points
- B2 – 9 points
- B3 – 8 points
- C4 – 7 points
- C5 – 6 points
- C6 – 5 points
They pick your best five subjects, including core subjects for your course.
